Cabin in the Pines

CABIN IN THE PINES

Cabin in the pines, Weeping and mending

Going ‘round the bending

Nothing to do with  this state I’m in

Only a dog would know what I mean

No woman could put her eye on a team

I gotta go where no one can hear me scream

Like a cabin...

I used to trust in God and men

But now I’ll never love again

Not til my heart can let her in

Into my cabin…

What would you know of the love of men?

When you’ve never looked beyond your ken

Me, I’ve looked, but stayed within

Right in my cabin.

There’s nowhere left for me to go

Nothing to see, no one to know

Thirty years I’ve got nothing to show

Just this cabin

Just this Cabin

Just this Cabin in the pines
