Oh! What A Surprise You Are

OH! WHAT A SURPRISE YOU ARE

Snake in the peanuts    Bean in the cake

A well-placed banana peel    For goodness sake

There’s pennies falling

From the clear, blue sky

Oh! What a surprise you are.

People jump around corners    Hide in the dark

Just to walk a straight line  It ain’t a walk in the park

You might jump from the fire

Right into the fry

Oh! What a surprise you are.

No one ever saw

Such make hazel while the sun shines eyes

They took me by….

It’s not as if I didn’t order

Just your dish

But it ain’t every day

The angels grant one wish.

And as they say, “There’s so many fish.”

(So. Many. Fish.)

Eat up an apple.  Spit out the seeds.

Time goes by,  Get an apple tree.

Spring comes back every year

Without having to try.

But OH! What a surprise you are.

Lay out your story the best you know

Word comes down, gotta let it all go.

And the angels laugh

At your plans’ demise

Oh! What a surprise you are

No one ever saw

Such make hazel while the sun shines eyes

They took me by….
