Craniosacral Foundations
IN THIS CLASS WE AIM TO…
→ Explore and deepen our understanding of the landscape of the craniosacral system, anatomically and poetically, which is to say: geek waaaaay out about bones, fascia, fluid, and movement…
→ Learn manual techniques for facilitating the ease of the craniosacral system, through palpation, listening, following, and unwinding…
→ Practice presence and gain fluency in our practitionership…
→ Grow our clarity and kindness in creating and being alive to ongoing consent, giving and receiving skillful and meaningful feedback, particularly grounded in the Wheel of Consent work of Betty Martin.
We do this through lecture and storytelling, together with demonstration and hands-on practice of manual technique.
the teacher
Willa Mamet, LMT, 16 years a bodyworker, 10 years a bodywork teacher, in love with the heartbroken, beautiful world and devoted to supporting others in their presence, clarity, and freedom.
Superpowers: geekery, words, listening, silliness. Explaining the Thing so you can - hopefully and collaboratively - understand it in your own words and feel it in your own hands.
My craniosacral training has, gratefully, been in the room with Hugh Milne and David Kaminker.

WHO IS THIS FOR?
This workshop is offered to anyone who has a body, and is of particular interest to bodyworkers, somatic practitioners of all kinds, and those of us who practice presence, witness, and curiosity with the body and with possibilities for liberated experience.
Bodyworkers of all modalities and experience are welcome, but you don’t have to be a bodyworker, or an experienced bodyworker, to benefit from this class. (This class does not confer CE’s, however.)
Space in the Vermont class is limited to 12 students, so if this sounds like it’s for you, come on and let’s do it.
This is a 1000000% trans- & queer-inclusive joint.
the space
In a beautiful building on magnificent grounds in Malboro, VT, our classroom nestles inside the Hobbit Studio. Our practice classroom and downstairs bathroom are both ADA accessible. Our lecture area is on the second floor up 9 stairs.
Outdoors there are gardens to delight beside, forest paths to meander, and a pond to gaze into (or swim in, just probably not in October).
Please reach out if you are looking for accommodations; I may be able to make some recommendations. Brattleboro, VT, is the closest larger town and twenty minutes east.
COST
