When I lived in Providence as a wee thing, I used to walk to yoga class through a neighborhood populated by Rhode Island School of Design students.  On my way home I’d pick up the canvases they’d put out to the curb.  I got in the habit of rescuing canvases, and these totes are some of what came of that.  Thread and straps also found or bought used, because they’re plenty in this world.
